FAQs

How can I tell fakes from the real thing?
Always deal with a reputable dealer especially one who has been in the business of selling toys for a long time.
-
Where can I buy old toys?
Old toys can be bought at antique toy stores, auctions, flea markets, tag sales, on eBay, and through estate sales to name a few. Our advice is to always get a receipt for the item showing its authenticity. If you are buying through the mail ask for return privileges in the event that the toy is not working properly.
-
How do I begin a toy collection?
Start with something that you like or consider the type of business you are in. Some people like to collect what they had or “could not” have when they were a child or some other kid had a toy they always wanted. Our advice is to buy what you like, for example, if you are in the automotive business, why not collect old toy cars. Or, if you work for the airlines, maybe a collection of airplanes would be a fun toy to collect. First buy what you like, next examine the toy to make sure it is in good condition, and third, see if the price is right.
