Thank you for helping us in our efforts to build a bigger and better Doll and Toy Museum of NYC! Your contribution will help us to expand our collection of dolls and toys for the public to view. We are also working towards a permanent location for our museum, so every little bit helps! We appreciate your support immensely as we continue to take steps in our growth process! Corporate Sponsorship

The museum welcomes corporate sponsorships for exhibits, events and activities. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, please contact the museum.

Benefits to being a sponsor

  • Your company will be listed in our quarterly magazine and on promotional materials distributed to our members, and on display at library exhibit locations.
  • Your company’s name will be given credit on our signage under acknowledgements in our library exhibit(s).
  • To show our appreciation, your company representatives will be guests at our annual cocktail reception in May.

Donating Your Personal Doll & Toy Collection

We accept doll and toy collections and/or part of a collection from any personal collection in the world. These donation help build our permanent collection. This would include any antique and modern dollhouses, dolls, toys, miniature items, accessories, paper dolls, reference materials, old photographs of children playing with toys, games, building and construction toys and all other types of toy and toy related items. All items must be in good or gently used condition. If you are unsure of your collection and our acceptance policy, please contact us and we will gladly discuss your collection with you. Your donation may qualify as a tax deduction.

For those toys that are donated and do not fit into our criteria the Museum may distribute the toys to other organizations, or to keep them for the permanent collection or to auction them.

In the past the museum has donated gently used modern dolls and toys to several not for profit social services organizations that care for underprivileged children in Brooklyn.

Housekeeping: We appreciate donations but would like to make you aware that there are costs involved in cleaning, storing and preserving these valuable treasures. It is not required but we would appreciate a financial contribution to accompany all toy donations which will help us manage and care for your collection. Financial contribution towards our housekeeping can be large or small, and can be made on a one time basis or annually.

Check In & New Toy Arrivals: Once you have made the decision to donate your personal toy collection or items to the Doll and Toy Museum of NYC, please make sure that we know when your collection will be arriving so that we can have our guest services representative ready to make your toys feel at home at our museum and to let you know that your collection has arrived safely. Our preferred shipping carriers are UPS or Fedex.

Contributions other than toys

Add us to your financial planning: Most contributions to a not-for-profit such as The Doll and Toy Museum of NYC receive tax benefits. If you would like to contribute to the museum, we accept financial contributions of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, end of the year gifts, and/or any combination of funds that can benefit the museum.
